It came and it went
Like the slow passage of time
When your life hangs in the balance
Every frame in crystal clear detail
And you wish you could stop it…

…and then you -blink-

And suddenly its over
Lungs screaming silently
Exploding breath, gasping for air
And you wonder if
If you really were
-Ready
