The Truth about The State of the Union
We are all to blame. We have allowed our nation to progress to the point at which it is at. Why, you might ask, do I say this? The reason is simple. If you are free to choose your actions, your decisions, then you are responsible for the consequences. If, however, the government makes those decisions for you, then you feel justified in pointing the finger and you can BLAME someone other than yourself.
Give it a rest, please. We live in a country where ‘passing the buck’ has become the norm. Point the finger at someone else because you can’t possibly hold me accountable for my actions. Are you serious? If you are not responsible for your own actions then who is. You decide what you do, what you think, what you accomplish. Sure there are things and events that are out side of your control, but not outside of your influence. If you don’t like what is happening in the country today… …open your mouth and say something about it, preferably something intelligent. You can call your congressman person (gotta be PC )and let them know that they should vote no on a bill you disagree with. Better yet, call your congressperson and let them know that you want them to make each bill to be voted on available to the public in plain language (English), not legal jargon, for a period of time not less than three weeks (my suggestion) so that we have adequate time to review it and either approve or deny it.
If the opposite of Con is Pro…
What’s the opposite of Progress?
Congress!
(without the power of the people)
